Responsibilities
Reporting:
 Communicate with all departments (i.e. Programs, MEAL, Finance, HR and Logistics) to obtain inputs necessary to the preparation of quality narrative reports on project performance
 Write quality and timely narrative reports on project performance in compliance with donor requirements
 Proofreading to insure the quality of the reports
 Prepare necessary narrative when required for external communication about organization activities/fund contributions.
 Participate in the development and improvement of reporting tools
 Prepare and circulate minutes of department meetings (external or internal) as assigned by the Grant Officer
Data collection and management:
 Collect, follow-up and analyze data on project/program implementation and indicators in order to assist in the preparation of quality periodic reports as required, i.e. monthly progress reports, situation reports, 4Ws reports, etc.
 Assist in the preparation of site visit reports for specific data collection
 Work closely with Information Management (IM) and MEAL staff when required to ensure accurate and effective data presentation, graphics, photos and maps
 Produce human interest stories/case studies to support the achievement of programs overall impact
Project development support:
 Collection and analysis of secondary and primary data necessary to proposal and concept notes writing
 Support program and MEAL activities in case of need
 Assist in proposal and concept notes writing
 Work closely with the Grant Officer for a qualitative follow up of donor’s requests and expectation
Others:
 Ensure adherence to SIF Procedures Manual
 Ensure adherence to SIF Internal Rules & Regulations
 Maintain confidentiality and ensure the non-disclosure of any information whatsoever relating to the practices and business of SIF, acquired in the course of duty, to any other person or organization without authority, except in the normal execution of duty
 Commitment to humanitarian business ethics
 Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates



Qualifications
 Bachelor degree in International Relations, Communication, Social Sciences, English Literature or any other related field with at least 1 year of relevant work experience;
 Experience in international work environments;
 Proven excellence in writing and editing skills in English;
 Good quantitative and qualitative analysis skills;
 Innovative and creative thinking in relation to communication;
 Good knowledge of computer tools, web and layout design;
 Experience in media is an additional asset.
