Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to assess the needs of the PoC
- Identify alarming trends observed in the community and share this information with the project coordinator.
- Disseminate information on available services in the area provided by COOPI. Identify and map other services in their area of operation
- Identify the most vulnerable groups/ individuals and refer them to the service providers.
- Provide social counselling and address identified needs.
- Through community outreach activities identify and submit proposals on projects that could be implemented to address broader community needs.
- Based on needs assessments, organize and facilitate awareness raising sessions under the direct supervision of the project coordinator
- Identify and provide appropriate support to PoC through involving local community, traditional leaders and support group, advocate and mobilizing members of the community to find solutions to the identified need.
- Conduct focus group discussions targeting male and female PoCs of different age groups and backgrounds, record findings and report to the project coordinator.
- Conduct activities related to information dissemination and identification of community based initiatives and solutions, encouraging community participation on the CBI program.


Qualifications
-Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
-Excellent English and Arabic language skills both written and spoken
-Substantial experience working with International NGOs, UN agencies
-Demonstrated skills in assessment, counseling and casework
