Responsibilities
1. Maintain and administer application servers and middleware tools.
2. Manage, develop, support and troubleshoot automated CDRs and data loading routines, scripts and procedures.
3. Manage and administer the Extract Transfer Load (ETL) processes related to data warehouse, and ensure that archiving procedures are applied and functioning correctly.
4. Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting related to performing the Database Administration tasks.
5. Develop and implement processes for future mitigation of re-occurring problems.
6. Develop and deploy automation, monitoring, and maintain solutions for operational administration.
7. Participate in evaluating existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement.
8. Stay abreast with latest technical knowledge and problem resolution skills.
9. Implement and maintain database security as per standards, control and monitor user access to the database as per policies and procedures.
10. Check Section & Individual objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
11. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and teamwork.
12. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.

Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor Degree in computer sciences, IT engineering or equivalent is required.
2. Experience: 3 years of Database Administration Experience is required.
3. Professional Certification: Database Administration Certificates (Oracle, SQL Server and My SQL) are a required.
4. Development Professional Certificates / Operating Systems Professional Certificates (UNIX) / ITIL are a plus.
