Responsibilities
PROJECT PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND FOLLOW UP
•Contribute to the organization of project kick-off and close-out meetings
•Plan the various stages of project implementation and set direction by prioritizing and organizing activities to achieve project objectives in accordance to quality standards and scope agreed with Project Manager.
•In collaboration with MEAL Coordinator monitor implementation of ongoing projects and develop project plans, support implementation of project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and reporting requirements are met.
•Assess project progress and effectiveness and share lessons learned in order to give suggestion for future programing.
•Participate in risk and needs assessment and preparation of contingency plan for ongoing and new projects.
•Provide advices to Project Manager to anticipate and mitigate risks and trouble-shoot any unforeseen challenges during the project implementation.
•Regularly update the work plan, and other documents relevant for effective project management
•Contributes to planning and development of new project proposals.

SECURITY
•Ensure that each member of the project team is aware of security issues, policies, SOPs and they follow them accordingly.
•In cooperation with the relevant Security focal point, monitor the local security situation and inform the Country Director and Security Officer of developments through regular written reports

COMPLIANCE
•Guide the project team/s, ensuring compliance to COOPI procedures and policies, to successfully deliver key project/s milestones and outcomes.
MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING
•Ensure capacity building and transfer knowledge of project staff.
•Ensure a positive work environment, showing sensitivity and understanding in resolving conflicts and differences, tailoring communication, leading and facilitating productive discussions with staff and stakeholders, encouraging others to talk, share and debate ideas to achieve the expected result and minimising conflicts.
•Ensure that project staff understand and are able to perform their roles and responsibilities
•Follow-up the work plan of the project staff.


EXTERNAL RELATIONS
•Establish and maintain relationships with projects stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation in order to ensure achievement of project outcomes.
•Under the guidance of Project Manager and COOPI Country Office Management, represents COOPI externally to donors, local authorities and Stakeholders on the local level
•Liaise with Aleppo authorities, relevant institutions, I/NNGOs.
•Contribute to and facilitate result-based advocacy with sub-sectors coordinators and partners on the local level, when required from COOPI Country Office Management.
•Report and provide updates on project progress to external stakeholders, when requested and in consultation with COOPI Country Office Management.
•Undertake research, analyse information and formulate recommendations to support needs-based project planning and decision making.


Qualifications
• Four years bachelor economic science/ business administration
• Excellent English and Arabic language skills both written and spoken are essential.
•At least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role within an international non-governmental organization (NGO), donor or multilateral agency.
• Substantial experience working with International NGO’s, UN agencies and networking and negotiating with authorities.
•Experience with capacity building
• Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing and sometimes insecure environment
•Ability to motivate and guide staff working in a complex conflict environment
• an excellent interpersonal skills (Good analytical, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills) and demonstrated ability to establish effective team and external relations

Specific Vacancy Requirements
