Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Area Focal Point is responsible for the overall planning and supervision of field activities in her/his area of operation; s/he is responsible to plan and follow-up the work-plan of the INTERSOS project team in her/his area of operation; she/he is responsible for daily coordination with the SARC team leader; s/he is responsible for maintaining smooth and continues coordination with the SARC branch and other relevant stakeholders of her/his area of operation. The Area Focal Point, under the direction of the PM is providing leadership and strategic direction of overall aspects of the project in its development in the ground and is supporting the PM in decision making.
-Oversee the overall field implementation of the designated project in consultation with Project Manager and relevant technical protection staff (Protection Officer) in accordance with the project proposal and by using the tools provided by her/his supervisor.
-Manage a comprehensive weekly and monthly activity plans, including resource needs analysis, covering the time frame of the project implementation.
-Ensure that the project mobile team carry on regularly the project activities accordingly to the project work plan.
-Ensure regular monitoring of the project activities against project indicator inclusive by conducting field visits and using the tools provided by the PM.
-Support the organization of regular and ad hoc team meetings with the project team (CW and other technical protection support staff) and other technical protection staff (Protection Officer) to plan, discuss challenges and tasks to be carried on.
-Organize regular meetings for the planning process of activities with SARC team leaders for the area of intervention.
-Support the PM in identifying capacity building needs of staff and in the organization of ad hoc trainings.
-Review data and information collected during the activities and compile regular reports highlighting gaps, concerns and trends for project reporting purposes and to inform future programming.
-Constantly monitor the humanitarian context to support programming of future interventions.
-In strong coordination with SARC team leaders, provide support in the guidance to Mobile Unit team in the planning and implementation of activities and in the communication with communities.
-Support the Project Manager in developing required donor reports.
-Establish and maintain collaborative relations with relevant SARC Referent at Branch level as well as with other relevant stakeholders working in the project areas.
-Promote high level of cohesion and collaboration among the INTERSOS/SARC team.
-Promptly report to the Project Manager any relevant information related to the implementation of the activities.
-Perform any other duty assigned by Project Manager in line with the role.
-Support the PM in the daily supervision of the security at field level and implement the relevant decision taken by the Mission to ensure the full respect of the internal protocols.
-In coordination with the INTERSOS Liaison officer keep updated all the relevant information to grant daily access of the project team in the area of intervention
-Under the direction of the PM and in coordination with the Protection Officer cover relevant coordination meeting related to the area of operations.
-Promptly communicate to the PM any relevant change in the local context.

Qualifications
- University Degree in Social Sciences or related field.
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience, having supervision roles.
- Advance computer literacy skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Advance leadership skills
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Humanitarian Principles.
- Proven knowledge of the area of intervention
- Respect and non-discriminatory attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven report writing skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines.
- Proficiency in English (written, spoken).
- Previous experiences with INGO is preferred.
- Proven experience in Protection intervention is an advantage (i.e. CP, PSS, and protection community approach)
