Responsibilities
• Overall financial management of the program, including budget preparations and budget follow up. Including financial analysis and planning
• Lead the internal and external audit preparations. Oversee relations with external audit firms.
• Manage the overall relation with banks, including opening and closing accounts, negotiations of condition.
• Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with FCA policies and regulatory legislation
• Ensure that the financial reports, bank reconciliations and relevant financial supporting documents are prepared and submitted, in accordance with FCA and donor requirements,
• Oversee expenditures, bookkeeping, timesheets and payroll processing
• Ensure the allocation of expenses to relevant programs and donor reporting.
• Oversee procurement function, engage in the Procurement Committee,
• Assist in the management of grants reporting, compliance, and
reconciliation
• Manage relations with partners and support their finance capacity building initiatives.
• Make sure the HR policies and procedures are understood and well implemented
• Draw up the job descriptions in collaboration with the operational team
• Process monthly HR information, payroll and employment contracts
• Oversee and manage relations with legal firms. Follow up on legal matters.

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in finance or business management.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience
• A minimum of 3 years with a senior position in Finance Manager or Accountant for an NGO/INGO
• Excellent computer skills, especially good management of Office Package, experience in QuickBooks an asset
• Strong organizational and management skills, strong self-initiative and self-managing skills
• Experience in working with multiple donors, knowledge of EU, UN, US government.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience
