Responsibilities
• Represent the ICRC and present its mandate and operations effectively to a variety of audiences.
• Work with Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and local actors to promote and support humanitarian activities including events and trainings.
• Develop ICRC communication messages and materials.
• Contribute to implementing and running Risk Education and weapon contamination programs with SARC and NGOs.
• Develop operational communication tools and promote international humanitarian law.
• Monitor local and social media platforms on daily basis.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.


Qualifications
• University degree in communications, political science, international relations or journalism.
• 3 years of work experience in a similar field.
• Good command of English and Arabic.
• Good computer skills.
• Good knowledge of social media.
• Photography skills is a plus.
• Previous experience working for NGO or international organization is an asset.
