Responsibilities
Provide the day-to-day operational support to MTN's Microsoft Windows platform.
Qualifications
Tasks:
Technically support Microsoft Windows forest, domains, objects and all other Windows components.
Build and administrate mail server, proxy server, Windows DNS/WINS and DHCP servers, and any other Windows application server.
Implement new system upgrades and patches to existing systems.
Setup and maintain LAN security.
Monitor security and performance logs (servers, etc.)
Provide diagnostic, problem solving and referral services for Windows environment.
Prepare progress reporting and other statistical reports.
Initiate and escalate needed job procedure.
Document procedures.
Evaluate and recommend new server hardware.
Analyze recurring problems and make recommendations for improvements to operational procedures.
Offer technical support for Windows related issues for all other IT divisions when needed.
Offer consultancy for the helpdesk support group and other users when needed.
Generate utilization and capacity planning reports and recommend system improvements.
Provide Project support where needed.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences/Information Technology Engineering or equivalent.
Specialization in Networking.
Training:
CCNA & CCNP
Knowledge:
Telecommunication concepts and principles (i.e. PCM. FSK.)
Supporting and maintaining PABX systems, the setup and maintenance of system monitoring tools.
Cisco network device configurations and significant experience in a technical network support role.
Supporting networks and maintaining all of their devices and the set-up and maintenance of network monitoring tools.
