Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice to the Programme Manager and HQ on potential involvement in new WASH interventions and internal WASH capacity for implementation.
- Check and verify the prepared BoQs in coordination with the Senior Project Officers.
- Support in tendering process and helping in checking the quality of materials provided by suppliers.
- Prepare project technical and handover reports and assist the Programme Manager in project proposals and periodic reports.
- Provide technical guidance to the WASH team to ensure WASH project targets are met within the required timelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships and work closely with local WASH actors, including national and local government, private sector, community, NGOs, other donors, etc.
- Help develop internal organizational WASH-related training and development of tools, guidelines, standards, SOPs to improve program quality.
- Advise Programme Manager regarding activity progress and make recommendations for course correction if necessary.
- Supervise and monitor the development of reporting systems for data collection (qualitative and quantitative), analysis and follow-up and feedback to relevant staff, donors, partners and other agencies.
- Provide input into the integration of beneficiary participation and accountability in all aspects of the project.
- Identify new program opportunities through rapid assessments and proposal development inputs.

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor degree in Water Management or Civil Engineering.

Work Experience:

- Minimum 5-10 years' work experience in the WASH sector.
- Experience with assessments, research and project design.
- Solid working knowledge of the humanitarian world, structure, funding, reporting and coordination mechanisms.
- Work experience in other UN agencies/ international organization is an advantage.
Language
Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.

Salary and Benefits
Payment to be based on a daily rate to be agreed based on experience and qualifications.
