Responsibilities
Procurement Activities

Planning and supervising the day-to-day procurement activities ensuring an efficient implementation of the procurement procedures in the projects while maintaining compliance to GVC standards and protocols. This includes but is not limited to the following:

- Processing: Being responsible for receiving the procurement plan from Damascus, ensuring the correct preparation and filling of procurement documents (templates, offers,, validations...), updating the procurement follow-up tool and archiving of the procurement documentation in order to guarantee the quality, compliance, availability, traceability and coherence of procurement files;
- Sourcing-Assessing: Regularly assessing the market for new suppliers to supply the recurrent needs of the mission and seeking products/services that offer the best value for money within the shortest timeframes. Negotiating prices and proposing new suppliers to be validated. Developing and maintaining relations with different suppliers in order to ensure a stable supply of goods or services, matching expected quality. Submitting and collecting quotations and tenders following the GVC procurement policy

Fleet Management

- Coordinate the usage of GVC fleet and prepare weekly plan in coordination with GVC staff in the field;
- Implement the correct usage of logbooks by GVC staff in Aleppo

Equipment Management and Maintenance of utilities
- Assure the proper logistics organization and efficiency of Aleppo GVC equipment and utilities;
- Keep control and update the equipment and asset stock;
- Liaise with the field personnel to manage equipment and stocks, and liaise to purchase and deliver;
- Ensure the materials needed for the implementation of activities (e.g. training to teachers) are timely delivered to the proper location;
- Any other task not here listed and necessary to the projects and activities



Qualifications
• Educational Background: BA degree relevant to the position.
• Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in same or similar position.
At least 1 years of experience with a humanitarian INGO/NGO (preferably).
• Languages: Very good in Arabic and English.
• Personal qualities and soft skills:
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of Procurement Principles and Standards.
- Knowledge of the MS office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- High reliability, flexibility, and responsive.
