Responsibilities
• Implement health programmes at primary health care, pre-hospital care, medical transportation, physical rehabilitation, prosthesis, and Identification and delivery of war wounded cases to proper medical and surgical treatment at the level in Homs governorate.
• Conduct assessments and regular field visits to monitor activities and assess health-related problems for the population.
• Participate in analysis of the overall health situation and contribute to planning of health programmes.
• Maintain regular contact and coordinate ICRC health activities with the Directorate of Health and the branches of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in the area.
• Maintain contacts and networks with UN agencies and NGOs involved in health care.
• Monitoring of the humanitarian health needs of people affected by conflict in Homs Governorate that enable to identify their causes and their prioritization of them.
• Ensure proper management of information collected and appropriate, relevant reporting.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.


Qualifications
• Degree in Medicine.
• 3 to 5 years work experience in a similar field
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment.
• Good computer skills
• Previous experience working for NGO or international organization is an asset.
• Previous experience in public health or health management is a strong asset.
