Responsibilities
•Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator, responsible for steering, monitoring and overseeing the overall implementation of the project in cooperation with the country team;
•Coordinate the planning and execution of project activities in order to achieve desired objectives and results within the defined project timeframe;
•Responsible for the financial management of the project, securing control and proper tracking of expenditures and development of forecasts in line with the project duration and objectives; in coordination with the Finance Department, in charge of foreseeing and draft amendments and revisions of the project when necessary and in due time in compliance with donors’ requirements;
•In coordination with the Logistics Manager, supervise all procurement processes and logistical needs as well as the financial indicators of the Project, in order ensure efficiency of implementation;
•Responsible for the development of a project MEAL plan, ensure proper measurement of indicators and progression of project activities against objectives, detect deviations from objectives and propose corrections;
•Be responsible of the proper application of HR policies and associated processes (recruitment, training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, potential, detection, staff’s development and internal communication);
•Coordinate and supervise project staff, plan and distribute tasks and workload among the teams, guiding their comprehension of the issues linked to the Project and the Mission through regular working meetings and feedback mechanisms;
•In coordination with the HR department and relevant Managers, identify training needs, building the capacity, coordinate, supervise and motivate the staffs, supports ad hoc training sessions and on-the-job training, provide individual follow up and coaching, carry out end of mission evaluation of the team members and lead internal communication initiatives in order to facilitate people’s integration and professional development and to maximize their capabilities and commitment to INTERSOS values and project’s goals;
•Represent INTERSOS within project limits proactively participating in relevant technical coordination meetings, cluster meetings and working groups. In close consultation with the Head of Mission, develop institutional contacts with local government and national partners at project’s level as well as with media in order to obtain all information and agreements necessary for the integration of INTERSOS ’s programmes in the local context and improve the targeted population’s awareness on them.
•Elaborate and oversee the Project’s institutional memory, keeping written records (and file them) on its development, in order to disseminate INTERSOS achievements and improve awareness



Qualifications
•University degree in social sciences, economics and/international development studies.
•Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in project management preferably in the Early Recovery and Livelihood sector
•Fluency English and Arabic compulsory
•Extensive knowledge of the Syrian context and experience in governmental requirements
•Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
•Demonstrate experience with different donors compliance and reporting, as well as project management
•Leadership, people management and development, teamwork and cooperation
•Strategic vision, results and quality orientation
•Behavioral flexibility
•Commitment to INTERSOS principles
•Understanding of humanitarian operations principles, standards and best practices
