The project targets the fruit tree in Huseinieh on the east bank of Euphrates river. The nursery saved as source for various fruit tree types including almond, apple, and berries, in addition to pioneering citrus, pistachios, and vine. Seedlings were used to cover needs in Deir Ezzour and other governorates. The nursery contained mother plant fields that provided grafts for tree

growing. On the other hand, the nursery was a learning center for agriculture engineering faculty and high school students on fruit tree growing and services. The nursery suffered from sabotage of main equipment during the war that put it out of service.
