Scope/Objective
Under the overall direction of the Project Coordinator and in coordination with the Economic Development and Livelihoods (EDL) technical officer and/or the Area Manager, The Agricultural technician - beekeeping experience is responsible
for field follow-up to the beneficiaries within the project and providing the necessary technical support for the beehives received by the beneficiaries, descriptive periodic reports, provide any additional support when required.
Functions / Key Results Expected
- Providing all consultations and directions related to technical and specialized matters within the project.
- Ensure that the training content conforms to the technical standards related to bees and that achieve the objectives of the project.
- Responsible for setting technical specifications for the Bee cells, then matching technical specifications of the assets before purchase, and the availability of equipment in the local markets.
- Receipt of bee cells and their compliance with the required technical specifications.
- Technical supervision and follow up the beneficiaries within the project and providing the necessary technical support for the beehives received by the beneficiaries, through a permanent field presence at the workplace.
- Preparing descriptive periodic reports for the status of the activities that were implemented.
- Support the Project Coordinator and when instructed by EDL Technical Officer and/or Area Manager for the project implementation, as needed and requested.
- Overcoming problems and obstacles in pursuit of the project's goal by proposing solutions to them in cooperation with the project coordinator and the local committee.

Recruitment Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering, or experience in bee cells, or other related fields.
Experience: Two years of operational experience
Experience in community-based assistance and in participatory community actions is an asset.
Previous experience in working with institutions of the civil society and local public organizations, and with UN
system is an asset.
Computer literacy is a prerequisite.
Language Requirements: Excellent English drafting skills
Arabic and English mandatory.
Preferably resident of Project Area.
