Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
He / She will be responsible for implementation, run the project on a day-to-day basis, control and delivering and completion of project, keeping project management tracking systems updated and providing reports. He/she will be responsible for coordination between all stakeholders under the supervision Area associate and / or Area manager.
The project aims to support the existing fruit plantation nurseries in the Governorate of Rural Homs, in order to raise the level of these nurseries in terms of quantity and type to provide fruitful plants with specifications commensurate with the agricultural
environment in these target areas, and to distribute them at cost or subsidized prices to the affected farmers. Which contributes to providing job opportunities, stimulating investment in the agricultural sector, and providing material income to those affected by the crisis, which encourages them to return to their agricultural lands.
Functions / Key Results Expected
- Provide technical support/assistance to local authorities, communities, and programme staff on issues related to implementation of the project.
- Analyse the situation of supported and targeted community groups, and assist in the project implementation in line with the objectives and outputs
- Actively initiate discussions with local government bodies and local communities to ensure their participation in the selection, formulation, prioritization, and implementation of the project
- Monitor and Supervise the daily implementation of the planned activities.
- Ensure that the delivered material meets the required technical specifications.
- Provide technical reports & regular progress reporting on the assigned project
- Document lessons learned and share experience with CO.
- Participate in the development of improved work methods, tools, and systems.
- Ensures quality control at all stages of the project cycle.
- Performs other related technical duties as required.

Qualifications
Recruitment Qualifications
Education University degree of Agriculture Engineering,
Experience:
- Three years of operational and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Agricultural Problems Solving
- Knowledge of Drip Irrigation Processes and Technics.
- Experience in community- based assistance and in participatory community actions is an asset.
- Previous experience in working with institutions of the civil society and local public organizations, and with UN system is an asset.
- Computer literacy is a prerequisite.
Language Requirements: Excellent English drafting skills
Arabic and English mandatory.
Preferably resident of Homs.

Salary and Benefits
- This position is with ICI for the benefit of UNDP- Agricultural and Rural Development Project
- Candidates with more than 3 months Third Party Personnel contract validity, will not be eligible to apply for this position
- Duration and Type of Assignment: 6 Months
