Responsibilities
Objective 1: Oversee or participate in field visits as per the Monitoring Minimum standards and the information needs of the mission

-Plan with the Monitoring Assistants the needed field visits on a weekly basis
-Follow up proactively with program, technical and logistic teams to ensure Monitoring movement plan is submitted and approved on weekly basis
-Coordinate with Heads of Project to plan field visits based on project workplan

Objective 2: Effective management of the Monitoring Assistants, under the supervision of the Senior Monitoring Officer and Coordinator.

-Ensure tasks of any Monitoring Assistants are completed successfully
-Validate admin, HR and log requests of staff (leaves, TRF)
Lead staff using a performance management (appraisals)

Objective 3. Ensure effective Monitoring, planning and follow-up of Monitoring systems and ensure findings are timely shared with Technical and Program Department for utilization to improve quality of interventions and learn

-Perform monitoring of activities in the locations where project activities are implemented as per plan and ad-hoc requests of Program Department
-Provide reports on monitoring activities monitored / evaluated, systematically documenting best practice


Qualifications
-University degree (BA in Social Fields or any related field).
-2 years of professional work experience in similar position
-Knowledge in any of the following field: Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH.
-Strong communication skills to interact with both vulnerable population and key stakeholders.
-Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
-Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT).
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on communication with beneficiaries and community consultation / participation.
-Ability to work effectively in a team, very strong and daily collaboration with Technical / program team will be necessary
-Previous field experience in monitoring activities , and report writing.
-Stress resistance, ability to work in high pressure environment and complex context

Salary and Benefits
ontract period: 6 months contracts, renewable based on Action Against Hunger fund and performance.

Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.

Duty station: Aleppo
