Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Conduction of technical assessments and development of technical BoQs and drawings.
Support the preparation of tender documentation.
Together with the Line Manager, supervise the work of the Consultants/Contractors contracted within GVC projects. This includes but is not limited to: daily supervision of the implementation of works, collection, and analysis of contractors’ reports, quality controls, verification of executed quantities, etc.
Develop plans and follow up on the implementation of tasks requested by the line manager.
Report on works implementation in writing on a regular basis as requested by the line manager.
Guarantee the compliance of GVC interventions with Syrian regulations (standards, environmental procedures, safety, etc.).
Facilitate the coordination between GVC and Contractors, Partners and local authorities.
Assist in the implementation of the general GVC action plan, review achievements and constraints and provide feedback accordingly.
Participate in the identification and elaboration of new project proposals.
Carry out any other task that may be required by the Line Manager.
Monitoring and Reporting Tasks
Report to the line manager with accurate reports about the work progress and timely reports about specific activities;
Guarantee that all the technical documentation is properly filled, updated, and classified.
Participate in the follow up of monitoring indicators for GVC activities and to the redaction of regular donor progress and impact reports by providing the needed information.
Any other task not here listed and necessary to the projects and activities.

Qualifications
BA Degree in Engineering (Civil, Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering) or similar field.
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
Experience with a contractor is a plus.
Experience with an NGO in rehabilitation works is a plus.
Good command of English in writing and speaking.

Salary and Benefits
Salary will be established according to GVC salary scale.
