Responsibilities

Program Planning and Implementation:
•Carry out day to day implementation of project activities in designated area.
•In coordination with the project staff and in line with selection criteria, supervise the process of registration and selecting beneficiaries for assistance.
•Supervise the process of field level data collection for needed assessments and any other assessments required.
•In coordination with the accountability officer, follow up the monitoring process of related finance project matters.
•Prepare timely work plans for the projects
•Provide timely inputs when needed
•Think strategy of future education and child protection programmes development; gaps, needs and
Supervision and capacity building:
•Supervise programme teams through direct and remote supervision as appropriate
•Contribute to organize capacity building activities of project staff
•Organize learning exchange sessions across the different projects
Coordination:
•Coordinate with local authorities and other NGO’s on project related activities.
•Attend weekly meetings with donors to coordinate projects activities
•Participate in relevant sector working groups meetings
•Work closely with other departments at field level
•Represent Caritas in a professional manner
Reporting:
•Provide accurate and timely information for internal and donor reports.
•Prepare weekly movement plan of project activities.
Qualifications and experience
University degree preferably in education, social sciences, or another relevant field.

Qualifications
•At least 2 years’ experience working with NGO’s in humanitarian activities; preferably in education or child protection programmes.
•At least 2 years’ experience in project’s planning and implementation, preferably in Education sector.
•Strong understanding of the programme cycle and MEAL principles and processes.
•Familiar with the educational, political, and social context in Syria.
•Fluency in English and Arabic
•Computer literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to compile and present briefings and reports to a variety of audiences
•Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
•Good presentation and negotiation skills
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills
•Resourceful and strategic thinking
