II. Job Purpose and Outputs:
Late 2019, UNDP has established 8 youth empowerment centers in 8 different Syrian governorates with the aim of provision of employment support services including but not limited to; career guidance and development; vocational and skill training, continues education, and entrepreneurship support services.
Job purpose and outputs:
Provides administrative support to the youth empowerment center YEC’s team to maintain an efficient office environment.
Center assistant provides general administrative support. He/she will be handling incoming phone calls and other communications, greeting clients and visitors, as well as managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general center duties
III.Duties and responsibilities
-Provides general administrative support and work collaboratively with YEP center team to maximize productivity.
-Answering phone calls and routing calls to the concerned person, taking messages and other communications.
-Welcoming visitors of the center, provide answers to their questions within the assistant role or direct them to concerned department.
-Answers questions about the center and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
-Keeping safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations related to COVID-19.
-Managing filing system.
-Recording information as needed.
-Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing.
-Helping organize and maintain center common areas.
-Support with events coordination, as necessary.
-Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
-Complete any other administrative tasks requested by the center coordinator.

-Experience as a center assistant or in related field.
-Experience with administrative and clerical work.
-Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required
Education:
-Institute degree in secretary, business management, or another related field
Skills:
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
-time management, ability to organize daily workload by priorities.
-Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
Language Requirements:
-Arabic and
-English is an asset
-Experience as a center assistant or in related field.
-Experience with administrative and clerical work.

This position is with ICI for the benefit of UNDP Youth Empowerment Centre.
- Candidates with more than 3 months Third Party Personnel contract validity, will not be eligible to apply for this position
