1. Provide high quality drafting, translation and editorial support to multimedia products (social media posts, media articles, press releases, stories, video scripts, talking points, presentations, briefs, updates, letters, etc).
2. Support the Communication team in compiling background information to develop news items and stories on WHO's work in Syria, with increased focus on emergency communication, vaccination coverage.
3. Provide ongoing support to WHO country office’s risk communication and community engagement activities by translating RCCE training packages, focus group discussions, etc.
4. Suggest innovative ideas on show casing WHO Syria's achievements in programmatic areas and tailored to stakeholders in the government, donor agencies, international organizations, and public at large.
5. Provide any needed support that will contribute to sustaining WHO's trust and brand.

Education
o University degree in communication, journalism, social sciences, or equivalent
o Experience
o Previous WHO or UN communication experience
o At least, five years of similar work experience is required.
o Knowledge of the region and/or Syria is desirable.

o Ability to conceptualize complex ideas and translate them into strategic documents.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic.
o Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
o Ability to work under pressure to achieve multiple deadlines.
