Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of the activities in COOPI under the project. The responsibilities include:

1.In cooperation with the Project Manager, plan, coordinate and monitor activities in compliance with the project workplan and donor requirements.
2.Provide leadership to the field team: organize the works, follow up on activities, supervise the project on the ground, support the evaluation of staff performance, provide counselling, promote a culture of respect and transparency in the team.
3.Reporting: gather information from the team and collect information from the field to be reported to the Project Manager; flag any issues to be followed up by the Project Manager.
4.Stakeholder coordination: be the focal point for dealing with stakeholders at Damascus and field level, listen to their concerns and suggestions, solve matters on the ground if possible, or escalate the issues to the Project Manager.
5.Coordinate with local stakeholders to ensure relevance and acceptability of the project; support the kick-starting of activities in new areas and provide recommendations about possible project design in cooperation with the MEAL Coordinator
6.Assess the need for additional goods/service and report it to the Project Manager and the Procurement and Logistic department on time in order to ensure procurement procedures are respected.
7.Maintain confidentiality and ensure the non-disclosure of any information acquired in the course of duty, to any other person or organization without approval
8.Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Economic, Law, Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, or other field related to social development and humanitarian work.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant implementation experience in FSL or protection-related sector with NGOs, including working in community-based protection (such as working with vulnerable persons)
- Ability to plan activities to reach target results and objectives.
- Experienced in preparing/revising monitoring tools and systems, data collection, and analysis.
- Good understanding of livelihoods and protection concepts in both emergency and development contexts.
- Excellent reporting skills/experience in reporting livelihood and protection activities and issues.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
