Responsibilities
II. Context
The project objective is to empower women economically and encourage them to be productive through:
-Encouraging women entrepreneurship, mainly in fields related to handicraft production through improving product design and colour, quality of their products, the appropriate price for products, packaging and to promote and market their products
-Creating job opportunities for women to be able to support themselves and their families.
-Supporting women to become a productive member in their communities.
III. Objectives of Assignment
Marketing expert will work closely with textile, crafts experts, project team and beneficiaries, provide advice for Mobdeat, support developing marketing strategies, develop brand awareness for Mobdeat and promote a single product or service and in general for all project beneficiaries
The marketing expert will be responsible for delivering effective marketing programs that will help growth and to grasp customer behavior trends and generate creative ideas, help in overall marketing efforts and develop and implement marketing plans for textile and craft products to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion and maximize revenues, support executing that strategy through various channels to generate initial demand, followed by regular testing and optimization of the demand
IV. Scope of work (Indicate if this is Time-Based Contract or Output Based)
Aleppo -Time-Based Contract- Part Time
V. Final product/Deliverables (For Output Based Contracts, clearly indicate milestones and percentage of total lump sum that will be paid for completion of each milestone)
-Conduct market research to identify crafts and textile trends, commercial opportunities and market competitors for crafts including prices, clients’ needs and preferences, habits and trends as well as demographics with the goal of identifying potential sales markets.
-Develop reports and presentations on findings, important information and translate complex findings and materials into easy-to-understand text and provide it to project team and craft experts
-Support in developing a marketing strategy for Mobdeat according based on market research.
-Planning and coordinating marketing efforts and coordinate with craft experts and project team for the plan
-Establishing goals and objectives in order to reach customers through appropriate marketing channels (digital and traditional).
-Working with design, experts and other teams to promote products
-Implementing marketing plans including:
*Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
*Building brand awareness and positioning.
*Agreement with craft experts on new designs and new products
*Understanding and developing budgets, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
*Developing a pricing strategy that maximizes profits and considers customer satisfaction
*Support and advise on branding, positioning, communications and other marketing issues
*Brainstorm with craft experts to develop creative ideas for promotional events and campaigns
*Advise and support marketing campaigns across multiple channels and media
*developing and executing marketing initiatives to appeal to target audience using appropriate channels such as email, social media and traditional media
*Educate women on research findings and discuss proposals for branding and promoting products
*provide direction to women with the most effective methods and tools for marketing
*Develop means of measuring effectiveness of marketing (KPIs), and promotional campaigns, including advertising and communications strategies
*Track and evaluate the KPIs in relation to marketing initiatives to continue accelerating their business growth
*Work closely with craft-textile experts and project team to create valuable relationships with key strategic target marketing techniques
*Monitor, analyze and report on campaigns, channels and initiatives to identify opportunities to optimize the marketing strategy
*Developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns
*Identifying new customers.
*Supporting sales and creating promotions
*Handling social media, public relation efforts, and content marketing.
*Undertaking competitors research and analyses and evaluating competitors.
*Support creating marketing materials for website and other marketing platforms.
*Working with design, acquisition and other teams to promote products
*Provide reports with suggestions for improvements and new ideas for UNDP field office in addition to recommendations for future strategic initiatives through competitive and financial analysis

VII. Recruitment Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or master degree in marketing, business administration,
Experience
-Previous working experience as a marketing consultant for 3-5 years
-Experience with creating a marketing campaign, marketing strategy, and marketing plan growth marketing or demand generation role
-3 years or more of marketing experience (digital and traditional)
Language Requirements
-Proficiency in Arabic, good in English



Salary and Benefits
-This position is with ICI for the benefit of UNDP Mobdeat- Aleppo

-Candidates with more than 3 months Third Party Personnel contract validity, will not be eligible to apply for this position

-Duration and Type of Assignment: 12 months
