Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of general protection activities in accordance with agreed objectives.
- With support from the Management and according to curriculum designed at the beginning of the project, the protection focal point will ensure the implementation of the project, with plan and follow-up on the team’s movements, advise the team on the project implementation, follow-up on the project indicators and report on the activities.
- Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program.
- Participate in weekly / monthly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality PSS & protection provision and reporting requirements are followed.
- Provide appropriate and relevant information of the targeted communities and people in need regarding their rights and services available in project location.
- Participating in the need assessments process in order to identify protection concerns and reporting accordingly.
- Support mapping of services and development of effective referral pathways
- Support Identification of vulnerable individuals and facilitate appropriate action, including referrals to specialized services.
- Encourage, support and monitor community-based protection networks in the emergency reception sites
- Provide input on case studies, best practices and lessons learned from each of the activities implemented.
- Perform regular technical assessments on the quality and content of PSS intervention
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the management, relevant to the achievement of Protection objectives

Qualifications
- University Degree
- Computer literacy with excellent working knowledge in WORD, ACCESS and EXCEL.
- Experience in social community based activities and awareness raising activities;
- Good knowledge of Rural Damascus governorate/ Alkiswa and its environment;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Previous experience in working with large team at community base;
- Have 2 years working experience including one year in social work preferably in the NGO setting.
- Language fluency in English is required.
