Responsibilities
II. Context
Project Brief:
The project aims to train entrepreneurs women and equip them with the required skills to start their own business in Homs Governorate. This includes delivery of business counseling and project setup and management. In addition to the technical support through trained business counselors, women will receive a small grant as a seed fund to start their own businesses. Simultaneously, the project will provide additional individual business counseling and networking workshops.
the project aims to support 30 women on business development and entrepreneurship, out of which, 20 women will be supported with financial grants. And support providing consultancy to 9 slowed down businesses from the phase 1 of the project.

Project Specific Objectives:
1-Encouraging women's entrepreneurship for economic empowerment as part of post-conflict stabilization and peacekeeping.
2-Creating job opportunities for female breadwinners to be able to support themselves and their families.
3-Supporting women to become a productive member in their society.
4-The project provides an opportunity for women who didn't had a job opportunity or an education to enter the labour market.

The project technician will be responsible to develop business counseling SoP, guidelines, and toolkits.
III. Functions / Key Results Expected
1.Planning for business counselors training
-Develop business advice SoPs, guidelines, and tools
-Develop a networking tools and approaches
-Develop a capacity building plan (interpersonal skills, and advising techniques)
-Develop an evaluation plan to measure the related indicators
2.Business counseling training
-Collaborate with the EDL staff to draft business advisor ToR, disseminate information, and conduct selection interviews with the candidates
-Provide business counseling training and draft workplans for the trained business advisors.
3.Monitoring and evaluation
-Follow up on the business advisors workplans, case/ counseling reports and advising impact.
-Conduct review workshops and provide technical advice
4.Documentation
-Document case studies
-Submit monthly progress reports and final evaluation report.

VI. Required Skills and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in management, Administration or Business-related fields.
Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in small business and start-ups support programs in the areas of services planning and delivering.
Language Requirements:
-Working knowledge of English
-Relevant computer skills
Others: Preferably resident of project area



Salary and Benefits
-This position is with ICI for the benefit of UNDP EDL – Homs
-Candidates with more than 3 months Third Party Personnel contract validity, will not be eligible to apply for this position

-Duration and Type of Assignment: 4 months
