Responsibilities
The MEAL Assistant will be a full-time employee of ZOA Syria. Under the direct supervision of the MEAL Officer, the MEAL Assistant will support projects monitoring, conducting field monitoring visits, following up on implementation MEAL plans, support strengthening the project capacity, and support reporting and data management.

Main Activities
1.Conduct/support conducting regular surveys as per project requirements and documenting results/findings.
2.Verifying project information.
3.Coordinate with the MEAL team and project staff to document lessons learnt and findings.
4.Provide inputs and support to the MEAL team in developing their MEAL systems including access to the hotline; and feedback boxes where appropriate.
5.Ensure the maintenance of both qualitative and quantitative data.
6.Facilitate project and activities information at all events.
7.Support and maintain project monitoring tools, databases and project reporting data.
8.Lead on the establishment of feedback mechanisms that are supported by the project.
9.Other duties as required in line with the skills, experience and role.
10.Conduct regular field visits for assessments and monitoring.

Qualifications
Knowledge Experience:

Bachelor in social sciences or project management or related field with relevant training in M&E.
Minimum working experience of 2-4 years.
Data collection and project reporting.
Very Good spoken and written command of English.
Excellent spoken and written command of Arabic.
Computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
Experience with digital data collection tools (such as KOBO) and/or Data Analysis software (such as SPSS) is big plus.

Salary and Benefits
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with ZOA Terms of Employment for National staff and relevant experience.
