Responsibilities
*Undertaking surveys, gathering data and conducting assessments as requested by line manager
*Setting out and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
*Checking technical designs and drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations and to ensure that they are followed correctly
*Supervising contractors works as per the approved BoQs and BoCs
*Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales
*Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
*Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork, and delivering presentations when required.
*Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
*Communicate with contractors and/or their representatives and attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
*Ensuring that health and safety measures and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
*Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:

*Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, architect, Electric, and Mechanical)
*Experience in a similar role for a minimum of three years, preferably with LNGO or INGO/UN agencies.
*One year experience in logistics field is a plus
*Good command of the English language
*Sound knowledge of construction designing.
*Superb project management skills (PMP is a plus).
*Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
*Written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, such as construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers
*Commercial awareness - an understanding of how actions can affect profitability of a project
*Good IT skills and knowledge on engineering designing and drawing software (AutoCAD 2D-3D, MS Project or similar, Revit, ETABS)
