Responsibilities
Programme Implementation and Support
 Set-up workplan for protection activities in compliance with project results and donor requirements.
 Provide leadership to the project field team (Case workers and Social Workers) coordinating and supervising the activities and timely addressing challenges during implementation.
 Assess the needs for goods/services to support protection activities and report them to the Project Manager ensuring follow up of procurements with Logistic department.
 Establish and maintain relationships with local partners (SARC), local stakeholders and INGOs through effective communication and negotiation in order to ensure achievement of project outcomes.
 In coordination with local partner, support assessments to identify protection needs and gaps in current and prospective areas of operations and prepare SitRep to feed into new project proposals.

Reporting
 Ensure that projects reporting (internal and external) is completed in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with donor requirements.
 Develop/strengthen protection MEAL tools, in collaboration with project field staff and MEAL.
 Ensure that protection data is collected, archived, processed, analyzed and disseminated in ethical modalities, in line with internal data protection protocols.
 Undertale regular field monitoring visits to assess ongoing activities and prepare reports to monitor quality of programme implementation.

Compliance
 Organize ad hoc protection meeting with protection field staff and other staff as relevant to share challenges and priorities and develop action plans to address them.
 Ensure that project staff under his/her direct responsibilities are able to perform their roles and responsibilities and provide knowledge transfer if as needed.
 Ensure a positive work environment, showing sensitivity and understanding in resolving conflicts and facilitating productive discussions with staff and stakeholders.
 Ensure activities are implemented in line with COOPI Code of Conduct, Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), policies and guidelines on Protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
 Perform any other task relevant to the project as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Social Science, Psychology, Social Work or other field related to social development and humanitarian work).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant implementation experience in protection-related sector with NGOs, including working in community-based protection (such as working with vulnerable persons)
- Ability to plan activities to reach target results and objectives.
- Experienced in preparing/revising monitoring tools and system, data collection and analysis.
- Excellent reporting skills/experience in reporting protection activities and issues.
- Ability to plan and organize work under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment.
- Solid team working and management skills in multicultural environment.
- Positive, problem solver and dynamic with ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Fluency in English (written and oral).
- Arabic native speaker.
