Responsibilities
• Analyze, monitor, and follow up on the security, socio-economic and cultural environment, and share information with the concerned colleagues.
• Collect, comply and translate information about the projects & activities and keep the teams updated.
• Represent the ICRC principles, mandate, mission, and activities to interlocutors and beneficiaries.
• Develop and maintain contacts with authorities and other humanitarian organizations in the area.
• Work in close collaboration and coordination with SARC Branch in Deir Ez-Zor.
• Follow up on the administrative and logistics tasks.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.

Qualifications
• Intermediate institute or university Degree
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of Deir Ez-Zor governorate.
• Very good analytical skills.
• Good computer literacy.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
• The Field Officer is based in Homs covering the ICRC activities in Deir Ez-Zor. S/he is responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring the ICRC projects and activities in collaboration and under the supervision of Homs management. The Officer is also accountable to represent the ICRC with other INGOs, authorities, and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). This position requires regular and long field trips to Deir Ez-Zor.
