Responsibilities
Objective 1: To ensure successful implementation of WASH and Rehabilitation activities according to AAH and humanitarian agreed standards and protocols, as well as to validated plans, budget, and timeframes

In collaboration with other AAH Department, undertake assessment and identification of communities WASH and infrastructure priority needs as directed by the line manager

Preparation of projects technical documents (Bill of quantity, drawings, technical specifications etc) and ensures its accuracy and quality.

Ensure quality and quantity of goods and services received from contractors/suppliers and that these are compliant with contract, sector, AAH and donors’ standards

Ensure that the implementation of WASH and Infrastructure activities are being done as agreed with local authorities and agencies and Partners in line with validated plans, budget, and timeframes

Supervise and carry out the implementation of WASH and infrastructure activities, including but not limited to rehabilitation of shelter, rehabilitation and upgrading of WASH infrastructure, sewerage system, irrigation, distribution off NFI, hygiene kits etc

Carryout documentation and achieving all documents related to WASH and Infrastructure activities, in your area of responsibility

Preform Any other duties relevant to WASH and Infrastructure activities

Contribute to preparation of weekly and monthly work plan

Objective 2: External and Internal Representation and Coordination.

Work closely with the project team, Log and Admin staff to make sure activities are being implemented according to the planned timelines, within the budget

Liaise and coordinate with relevant authorities’ implementation of WASH and Infrastructure projects in the field.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree (Mechanical Engineering)
Prior experience in implementing, Mechanical and/or electricity-related projects in Syria in humanitarian organizations or in the private sector, for example but not limited to: installation of solar systems, connections of water stations to medium voltage lines, low voltage projects, etc Previous involvement in implementation processes (including the development of bill of quantities, cost estimations, etc.) is essential
Experience in water-related projects is a plus: mechanical knowledge of submersible and horizontal pumps, installation of gensets, rehabilitation of water networks, Water tanks, sewer networks, irrigation systems, boreholes, rehabilitation of public health centers etc.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
At least 3 years of previous relevant job experience

Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.

Frequent travels to different Syrian governorates

Strong communication skills.

Very Good command of both Arabic and English languages.

Very Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and AutoCAD

Salary and Benefits
Contract period: 6 months renewable base on Action Against Hunger fund and performance.

Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.

Duty station: Aleppo
