Responsibilities
-transfer data from paper forms into electronic surveys, computer software or database systems using keyboards, data entry applications or optical scanners
Type in data provided directly from beneficiaries
Design spreadsheets with large numbers of figures
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Update existing data
Retrieve data from the database as requested
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost and store it in protected formats
Scan documents and print files
Keep information confidential and ensure compliance to data protection procedures
Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
Comply with data integrity and security policies

Qualifications
-Excellent knowledge of processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
-Working knowledge of office equipment and computer software
-Basic understanding of databases or Kobo, ODK platforms
-Good command of English both oral and written
-Great attention to detail
-Proven data entry work experience
-Familiarity with administrative duties
-Experience using office equipment, like fax machine and scanner
Typing speed and accuracy
-Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
-Confidentiality
-Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
-High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be an asset
-Working knowledge of office equipment and computer software
