Responsibilities
General
o-Monitoring of NPA Syria Mine Action operations including:
o- Quality Assurance of NPA Syria Mine Action operations in accordance with NPA Syria Standard Operating Procedures.
o- Quality Control of NPA Syria Mine Action products in accordance with NPA Syria Standard Operating Procedures.
Specific duties
•Perform all field monitoring activities in accordance with the NPA Syria Standard Operating Procedures.
•Perform comprehensive monitoring of each task/activity, minimally once per month.
•Perform targeted monitoring of specific procedures/results in accordance with the Quality Management monthly plan and requirements of the Operations Manager
•Perform targeted monitoring of specific procedures/results following identified non-conformities and of preventive/corrective actions.
•Perform Quality Control of cleared land by searching randomly selected samples.
•Perform Quality Control of cleared land by organizing and controlling the search of randomly selected samples done by a selected team member/s.
•Ensure recording and marking the areas subject to Quality Control sampling.
•Inform the task/activity responsible person of the monitoring results and ask for their remarks if there are any.
•Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the operations level and team level Quality Management records and reports.
•Record and report on the results of Quality Assurance and Quality Control performed.
•Participate in training of the operational staff.
•Be fully familiar with NPA Syria Standard Operating Procedures, Mine Action Technical Guidelines, and relevant International Mine Action Standards.
•Perform other duties assigned by the Superior.

Qualifications
•A bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with at least 2 years of experience in relevant positions within Mine Action.
•Certificates of completed courses for a deminer, BAC Operator, Team Leader, or Site Supervisor issued by an organization recognized and/or accredited by a NA
•Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
•Proficiency in the English language, written and spoken.
•Driving license and experience in driving a 4WD.
At least one year of experience in mine action in a position of a Team Leader, QM Officer, or higher in the hierarchy.
•Certificates of completed courses for a deminer, BAC Operator, Team Leader, or Site Supervisor issued by an organization recognized and/or accredited by a NA
•Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
