Responsibilities
1: Contributes to the implementation of the projects
- Contributes to supervise all activities relating to Education and Protection as agreed with line manager.
- Contributes to the information sharing regarding activities
- Monitors the projects activities, in order to evaluate, promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes, in line with TGH frameworks and SOPs
- Participates in the assessments upon identified needs by the management team as agreed with the line manager
- Provides technical support to the Education and Protection team (EPAs and outreach volunteers) in link with the line manager
- Supports the MEAL officer to ensure quality of data, timely data collection, management of complaints and feedbacks, and proposes corrective measures based on data analysis.
- Supports the WASH team to ensure the quality implementation of integrated activities such as school rehabilitations and hygiene promotion sessions.
- Ensure the implementation of all the required tools, guidelines, work standards.
- Ensures that all project documents are properly and timely filled
- Participates to the procurements related documents upon request, participates to tenders, prepares purchase requests in link with program and logistic team and as agreed with the line manager
- Participates upon needs and as per requested to deliveries of materials, tools and equipment required for education and protection activities
- Identifies payment and financial needs for education and protection activities and report it to the line manager as needed
- Ensure all protection issues is in good conditions in all schools (water, maintenance…).

2: Supervision of Education & Protection Activities
- Oversees the work in the field of project activities through regular field visits.
- Oversees the needs in trainings in order to provide capacity building for E&P field assistants and volunteers in coordination with line manager.
- Oversees the work and planning of the volunteers under her/his management in coordination with relevant interlocutors (DOE, SARC).
- Follows up the attendance sheets and reports to the manager on a weekly basis.
- Ensure the communication flow with volunteers and mobile teams
- Archives monthly documents related to education and protection activities.
- Prepares the monthly documents related to the project.

3: Internal and external reporting – communication
Internal:
- Ensures the internal reporting as requested by the line manager
- Participates to writing of concept note, proposal, report or any document for donors as agreed with line manager
- Remains in line with TGH’s communication channel and enquires about them if/when unclear
- Provides the line manager with photos, success stories on regular basis
- Reports immediately any trouble met by the team while implementing the activities or change in context, or related to any topic connected to TGH and its presence on the field in coordination with the line manager and Security officer as per SOPs

External:
- Participate in the external reporting of project activities for local authorities & partners, if requested by the line manager
- Attends coordination meetings when needed with external partners, locality, SARC, Sub-Sectors and send a minute to the line manager
- Ensures communication as requested with all relevant local authorities (line Ministries & municipalities) and partners (SARC, UN agencies) in line with TGH’s frame and reports to the line manager.

4: Ensure translation into English/Arabic as soon as necessary for working documents
- Translates in case of misunderstanding for employees
- Translating memos or other documents as necessary

Qualifications
- University degree in Disaster/Project Management, Education or Protection studies, or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 3 year of experience in humanitarian aid and/or development work in multi-sectors INGOs
- Strong experience in Protection and Education sectors
- Experience in staff supervision, performance management, and coordination
- Proven expertise and understanding of emergency response with a relevant technical competence in emergency needs assessment, project design, development and implementation
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.

About us

Established in 1994 TGH is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) designing and implementing emergency, rehabilitation and development programs. Its action includes several areas of expertise within a comprehensive approach: the programs fall within the fields of Education; Water Hygiene & Sanitation; Food Security, Livelihood & Rural Development. In 2018, TGH operates in 10 countries and manages 70 programs.

TGH has been registered in Syria in May 2017 and works under the coordination of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). Both Organisations have agreed to cooperate in order to enhance their common objective of offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian affected people that need help wherever it is possible in the country. The main TGH sectors of activities in Syria are WASH and Education.

A preliminary assessment in the WASH sector has been carried-out by TGH from 18th July to 27th July 2017 under the coordination and with the support of SARC. Another one has been conducted by TGH team and SARC in Hama in October 2018.

Since then, TGH signed 2 WASH projects in Hama under SHF and Rural Damascus under CDCS, and is planning to submit project proposal to various donors in 2019.
