Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant. This role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cashiering, bookkeeping, and document management.
1-Scanning and Filing Documents:
Efficiently scan and file financial documents for record-keeping and auditing purposes.
Maintain a well-organized filing system to ensure easy retrieval of documents.

2- Assist in Preparing Volunteer Payments:
Collaborate with relevant teams to process payments for volunteers.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in volunteer payment transactions.

3- Fixed Assets Inventory:
Collaborate with other departments to track and manage fixed assets effectively.

4- Document Delivery and Collection:
Facilitate the delivery and collection of financial documents to/from banks and governmental institutions.
Ensure all documents are submitted on time and in compliance with regulations.

5- Cash Payments, Advances, and Reimbursement Settlements :
Handle cash payments, advances, and reimbursement settlements in accordance with organizational policies.
Verify supporting documents and obtain necessary approvals for cash transactions.
6- Maintain the Cashbook:
Record all financial transactions accurately in the cashbook.
Reconcile cashbook entries with ERP regularly with the supervision of the senior finance assistant.

7- Any other related task requested by the supervisor / direct manager.


Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any other relevant financial domain.
•Professional working experience In Finance/ accounting Field for 1-2 years
•Good knowledge of double-entry accounting
•Computer literate with acceptable knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
•Knowledge of accounting software
•Problem solving and organizational capabilities
•Good command of the English language
•Knowledgeable of Syrian fiscal and financial laws and regulations

•Proactively solves issues before they arise.
•Gets results through teamwork.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
•Compliance with ZOA code of conduct and take appropriate steps when needed to minimize the risk of fraud or theft.
•Assisting in fulfilling audit requirements and any other role related tasks assigned by line manager.
•Coordination within the finance team and among ZOA departments.

Duration of Position: 6 months renewable subject to performance and funding, (first three months are probation period).
