Responsibilities
The Project Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Education project in the coastal area, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to beneficiaries. This includes involvement in all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning to execution, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The incumbent will report directly to the Project Officer.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Project Officer in executing Education project activities, following the project plan, and ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Contribute to the development of detailed work plans and budgets for the project.
- Collaborate with teachers to foster the adoption of best practices in Education.
- Assist in the follow-up of the selected Education centers as required by the project.
- Work closely with the Community Engagement Unit and local communities to identify primary target beneficiaries (children and parents) based on specified criteria.
- Oversee, maintain, and develop Education Centres, establishing a safe, ECD, and EDU-friendly environment for children and students.
- Assist in the identification, design, and evaluation of key indicators for Education interventions, in close collaboration with the Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning team.
- Contribute to the recording and reporting of progress against targets.
- Prepare regular progress reports and submit them to the Project Officer as per agreed timelines and formats.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance Departments to manage the purchase and storage of all project inputs.
- Participate in training Education facilitators and non-formal teachers.
- Assist in organizing and providing technical refresh training sessions at education centers.
- Assist in the development of qualitative quantitative case studies that highlight best practices, lessons learned, and success stories from the field.

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum one year of experience in the education field
- Prior experience in early childhood development, education, or similar community-based projects.
- Familiarity with project planning and implementation.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good analytical, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work with a team and under pressure.
- Good command of Computer and English skills (written and spoken).
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
