Responsibilities
Contributing to the creation of visibility materials on the activities of GVC Syria, to be shared with relevant stakeholders;
Planning the production of materials and web contents;
Support the communication on social networks;
Support the implementation of awareness campaigns;
Manage and enrich the photo and video archive of GVC;
Writing articles and press releases.
Liaise with Programs Department and GVC HQ when needed. The Communication Officer shall perform other duties when needed.

Excellent knowledge of the full Office suite;
Adaptability;
Team working;
Intercultural awareness and respectful attitude towards other customs and traditions;
Good interpersonal, team working skills and ability to work independently;
Good ability to adapt to the situation of instability;
Ability to write reports;
Knowledge and passion for digital technologies (including, for example: SEO, SEM, Google AdWords / AdGrant, Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Linkedin Ads, HTML, CMS, web and social analytics);
Knowledge in the use of photo editing tools (eg. Adobe Photoshop), and basic graphical management for text and graphics.
Experiences
Professional or volunteer experience in similar activities (communications office, digital marketing, publishing activities, report writing, photos, and videos editing);
Prior volunteer experience with NGOs or governmental organizations is an asset.
