Responsibilities
•Support FS Programe Coordinator in the development of services in the frame of FSP.
•Support identification of cases of children who are at risk of losing care from their families of origin through different resources (referral, outreach, self-referral etc.).
•Conduct comprehensive assessment of children and families in strong cooperation with the multidisciplinary team using different resources and social work techniques/methods to identify family needs and strength and define the required services.
•Conduct a comprehensive study of the family through the use of case study tools and data collection tools (notes - questionnaires - lists, etc.) and organizing data and suggesting the possibility of acceptance based on program criteria.
•Prepare family development plans, with the strong participation of caregivers, children and the multidisciplinary team.
•Arrange, provide and coordinate the delivery of services to children and families in strong partnership with other service providers and in line with the family development plan.
•Keep regular contacts with child and family during the implementation of family development plan through phone calls, home visits and meetings in program premises.
•Document appropriately all activities conducted during the case management stages in the child/family case file by applying methods and tools for gathering information, as well as
•forms/templates, based on the requirements of national legislation and/or regional guidelines.
•Participate in annual planning process of FS program.
•Reassess periodically the child/family needs and progress in meeting the objectives defined in Family Development Plan and make decisions on the case closure, in cooperation with family members and the multidisciplinary team.
•Enter data regularly in FS Database module, ensure quality of data and regularly use the reports and data stored in the database to track individual progress of children and families.
•Provide information for new requirements to FS Program Coordinator.
•Upon the request of FSP Coordinator and in accordance with the national legislation, regularly inform the child protection authorities on the case progress.
•Support FSP coordinator in the self-evaluation and/or external evaluation processes of FSP.
•Regularly collect information about different indicators as defined in the M&E plan of the program unit and reports to FS Program Coordinator.
•Participate regularly in InterVision sessions, individual or group external supervision.
•Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and keep up with organizational procedures, legislation and developments in the professional practice.
•Keep regular contacts with service providers to ensure that services are provided according to objectives and actions agreed in Family Development Plan.
•Conduct regular family follow-up visits to provide psychological support or counselling, depending on the needs of the child and family.
•Regular contact with service providers to ensure that services are provided in accordance with the objectives and procedures agreed in the Family Development Plan and work to update the service map periodically and coordinate access to services for the child and his family.
•Identify beneficiaries who need referral service to specialists or other services and follow up referral procedures.
•Advocate for the individual child and his/her family to have access to social entitlements or obtain needed services.
•Contribute in community development undertaken by the Family Strengthening Programe, i.e. organize/participate in awareness raising activities, community mobilization events and capacity building of the community partners.
•Support Family Strengthening Programe Coordinator in documenting good practices, human touch stories.
•Keep regular track of latest developments in social work area as well as changes in national legislations, policies and practices related to children in the target group.
•Follow up on the provision of financial services provided to the family and verify the required documents.

Child Safeguarding (CS)

•Responsible for raising awareness related to SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children and young people from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination.
•Ensure strong focus on CS prevention by organizing informal and formal discussions, workshops and other capacity building activities for children and young people to make them understand the CS risks and projection mechanisms
•Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the CS team at programe level and/or to the respective line manager.


Qualifications
University degree in education or social sciences
Minimum 2 years’ experience in child and family development programs or similar field
Minimum 1-year administration experience
Motivation for work focused on children and families
Good knowledge of standards and current directions of development in the field of child’s rights approach, and social welfare systems
Good knowledge of legal issues relating to social welfare
Organizational skills – skills of planning and organizing resources necessary for achievement of goals
Leadership skills
High level of communication skills
Ability to work in stressful condition
Computer literacy (MS Office)

Salary and Benefits
Contract for Six Months with the option of extension.
