- Support identification of cases of children who are at risk of losing care from their families of origin through different resources (referral, outreach, self-referral etc.).
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessment of children and families in strong cooperation with the multidisciplinary team using different resources and social work techniques/methods to identify family needs and strengths and define the required services.
- Contribute to preparing the psychological part of the family development plans.
- Provide mental health services to children and families in strong partnership with other service providers and in line with the family development plan.
- In coordination with the social workers, refer families with additional mental health needs to specialized services.
- Keep regular contact with the child and family during the implementation of the family development plan with the aim of protecting and improving psychological and mental health.
- Document appropriately all mental health activities conducted during the case management stages in the child/family case file by applying methods and tools for gathering information, as well as forms/templates, based on the requirements of national legislation and/or regional guidelines.
- Reassess periodically the child/family psychological and mental health needs and progress in meeting the objectives defined in Family Development Plan and make decisions on the case closure, in cooperation with family members and the multidisciplinary team.
- Support the ER/FS Programme Coordinator and Team Leader in documenting good practices, human touch stories and reports.
- Building capacity and providing awareness sessions for parents, volunteers, teachers, and social workers regarding different topics such as integrating children with disabilities in the community, early detection of disabilities, and effective learning.
- Responsible for following up with participants regarding complaints and needs related to mental health. And psychosocial support.
Child Safeguarding (CS)
* Child protection is everyone's responsibility.
* Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles.
* Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to the respective Line Manager

Bachelor degree in psychology - psychological counseling
At least 2 years of continuous work experience, including responsibility of projects, experience in education, leadership and facility administration.
