Responsibilities
The volunteers service is to support the programs team by conducting field or administrative activities at the office. The primary purpose of the volunteers is to support in data collection (assessment, follow-up, and registration), distributions, monitor rehabilitation and conduct monitoring activities. The volunteers coordinate with the program's team members, depending on the specific assignment.
•Prepare the daily progress reports (field visit reports) with the progress photos and fill in other required paperwork, templates, and deliver presentations when required in coordination with the line manager;
•Undertaking surveys, gathering data, and conducting assessments as requested by the line manager;
•Provide photos to document each work stage, before the project starts, during the implementation, and after completion;
•Archive hard copies and digital copies of the paperwork and documentation related to the completed project;
•Conducting phone calls with beneficiaries to verify their information;
•Conducting household surveys for baseline or endline assessments;
•Collecting data using handheld tablets (KOBO toolbox), while ensuring high quality and privacy of data;
•Preparing and checking daily required logistics for field missions;
•Extracting and submitting the surveys on a daily basis;
•Administrative tasks for preparation for distributions, including but limited to: checking the distribution list, rolls-up, leaflets, and informing the beneficiaries about the exact date, time and location of distribution;
•Verifying the supporting documents of beneficiaries (IDs, Family book) as they are listed in the distribution papers;
•Supporting the distribution process and ensuring the protection is mainstreamed during the assessment and distribution;
•Conducting post distribution monitoring exercises, either in person or via phone calls;
•Acting as a note taker/moderator in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Information Interviews (KIIs);
•Data entry tasks (transcribing, extraction, and typing)
•Acting as a helpdesk focal point, seeking the feedback from affected people on ZOA's activities, while ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity;
•Responding to the feedback and complaints in coordination with line supervisors;
•Engaging with the target community and representing ZOA to local populations or representatives.
•Assist in monitoring all activities in targeted areas and contribute to daily reporting on field activities.
•Participate in monitoring and facilitate any training conducted by ZOA.
•Report security or programmatic incidents to the line manager as per the organization's policies and regulations.
•Adhere to the organization's Code of Conduct, policies, and regulations, and be accountable for its proper implementation by all team members.
•Administrative tasks for preparation for distributions, including but not limited to: checking the distribution list, rolls-up, leaflets, and informing the beneficiaries about the exact date, hour, and location of distribution;
•Participate in capacity building activities and workshops organized or referred by ZOA;
•Any other tasks as required.
If the background is engineering;
•Assist ZOA team in preparing the project’s technical documents, including the technical designs, drawings, BoQs, and BoCs; and prepare as-built drawings after completion of the works when required.
•Ensure that the rehabilitation work is aligned with the standards and the requested specifications.
•Ensures that the implementation of the projects has been carried out with full compliance with the Book of Conditions (BoC) and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and the technical offer related to the project, and reports any changes or low-quality work to the line manager.
•Verify and validate the quantities of the supplied and installed equipment and the rehabilitation works quantities of the rehabilitation projects.
•Providing technical advice and solving problems on-site.
•Perform any other duties relevant to the rehabilitation activities.
•Ensure the safety of the contractor’s workers and the worksite as per the national and international Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards in coordination with the safety team.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
•High school diploma
•Experience in a similar role for at least one year with LNGO or INGO/UN agencies.
•Experience with data collection tools
•Good spoken and written command of the English language
•Excellent spoken and written command of the Arabic language
•Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint …)
•Experience with digital & regular data collection tools: KOBO experience is required, other Data collection/analysis software (such as SPSS) is a big plus.
•Familiarity with humanitarian principles, such as humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence,
