Responsibilities
General Duties
- Participate in the direct implementation of INTERSOS Livelihood
activities including community mobilization, beneficiary
identification, livelihoods business support distribution
process and monitoring.
- Working with community members and representatives to
facilitate the program implementation and proactively achieve
solutions to problems arising.
- Carry out household interviews/surveys, focus group
discussions, key informant interviews, and data collection as
per plans. Data entry can be required.
- Provide support to implement program activity plans in line
with agreed standard procedures and INTERSOS Code of Conduct.
- Working in a team and coordinating with other LH staff and with
other department staff
- Supervision and follow up of beneficiaries to ensure data
recording (attendance lists, meeting minutes, delivery notes,
distribution lists, questionnaires, etc.).
- Collect and make local information accessible and usable by
project management and non- specialists.
- Support the Livelihoods Officer and volunteers in engaging with
communities through meetings and interviews.
- Drafting notes of field visits for review by programme team;
preparing secondary data analysis and reports as required by
the programme team.

Monitoring & Reporting
- Conduct daily field visits to implement the activities
according to the planned
schedule as well as ad hoc visits according to needs.
- Ensure the activities are fully documented through attendance
sheets of participants, pictures, videos, and activities ad-hoc
reports.
- Ensure data collection and guarantee the data entry on a
regular basis as per the standard monitoring formats and in
coordination with the INTERSOS MEAL department
- Provide reports to the LH Officer and the Programme Manager
providing updates on the progress of activities against
indicators/targets and highlighting challenges
and solutions
- Take part/conduct assessments in the same and/or different
areas from the project’s implementation site when required.

Coordination and External representation
- Establish and maintain positive working relations with
authorities and relevant
stakeholders in the community to ensure cooperation and success
of project implementation
- Establish and maintain positive working relations with DoSAL
ensuring constant information sharing, reporting, and
coordination.
- Ensure adherence to INTERSOS and donor's administrative
rules and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to INTERSOS administrative rules and
regulations.

Qualifications
Education
- University degree in Social Sciences, Development/Humanitarian
studies,Business Administration or equivalent

Professional experience
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar positions and in
humanitarian contexts with NGOs

Professional requirements
- Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
- Ability and willingness to travel across the assigned project
areas at short notice and spend extended periods with
communities.
- Good knowledge of the ERL system in Syria.
- Good understanding of the Syria crisis’s impact on the
population.
- Good report writing skills.
- Previous experience in implementing livelihood activities.
