Responsibilities
1. Media Production and Design
• Capture professional photos and videos that document SSU’s field activities and events.
• Edit videos and images using professional software to create high-quality media outputs.
• Design flyers, brochures, social media posts, and infographics that align with SSU’s visual identity.
• Manage the full production cycle for multimedia materials, from concept to publication.
2. Communication and Branding
• Maintain consistency of SSU’s visual identity and branding across all platforms.
• Ensure communication materials meet organizational standards and donor visibility requirements.
• Support the development of communication campaigns, success stories, and awareness materials.
• Promote SSU’s public image through engaging visual and written content.
3. Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare periodic media and communication reports summarizing outputs, coverage, and engagement.
• Document project achievements through visuals, stories, and short media features.
• Collaborate with program teams to support reporting with visuals and presentation materials.
4. Technical and Capacity Support
• Provide training to field staff on photo and video capture standards.
• Support in presentations, event materials, and visual documentation for donor meetings.
• Contribute to strengthening SSU’s internal communication systems and media database.


Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in communication, Journalism, International Development, or any other related field.
· Professional certification in communications (e.g., Chartered Institute of Public Relations) is desirable.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in media, photography, videography, or communication within NGOs or media agencies.
Technical and Software Skills
• Strong command of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Canva.
• Excellent photography, video editing, and design capabilities.
• Skilled in managing social media content and using digital platforms.
• Strong reporting and presentation skills in Arabic and English.
• Experience working on organizational visual identity (supporting the visual identity of the Stabilization Support Unit )

The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU) is a Syrian non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2016 with the aim of promoting stability and peacebuilding in Syria.
