Responsibilities
1)Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
2)Offer guests an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of quality, professionalism, and friendliness.
3)Anticipate and service guests’ requirements before requests are necessary.
4)Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
5)Be familiar with beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
6)Utilize a "Captain's Pad" correctly for communication.
7)Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and set all tables according to standard.
8)Present menus and explain all menu items as well as specials of the day.
9)Present children’s menus when appropriate and describe specials and alternative cuisine.
10)Utilize the hotel’s computer system for ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing readings.
11)Carry trays, bus, and reset tables with linen, china, glass, and silver.
12)Change ashtrays, serve cigarettes, crumb tables, and offer additional beverages and cigars.
13)Ascertain guest satisfaction and handle any problem, informing a manager of the issue and resolution.
14)Handle situations when a guest walks out.
15)Service all needs for private dining rooms or private functions.
16)Report any accident or guest complaint immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.
17)Recognize and address potential disruptive or undesirable guests.
18)Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
19)Move tables and chairs.
20)Break down buffets, displays, or side stations when needed.
21)Clean service area when needed.
22)Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
23)Retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware, and food and beverage items.
24)Provide unobtrusive and professional service.
25)Serve dishes to guests while explaining contents and preparation.
26)Provide water, bread, and butter service throughout the meal.
27)Offer coffee or tea and serve as requested according to Four Seasons standards.
28)Report for duty 5 minutes before scheduled time, clean and tidy, wearing the correct uniform.
29)Carry trays properly and safely and break them down.
30)Clear tables and reset them for specific numbers of persons.
31)Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant.
32)Sweep/vacuum the floor before a shift if needed.
33)Attend all training sessions for service staff and follow hotel rules and policies.
34)Be flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel in response to business and client needs.
35)Handle cash and credit card procedures according to accounting department guidelines.


Qualifications
1) Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, Arabic would be beneficial
2) 1-2 year's food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience.
3) Good knowledge of food, preparation and beverages
