Responsibilities
Develops, implements and follows up on MHPSS activities at local and national level
Implements MHPSS activities directly through individual consultations or group support meetings.
Complying with ICRC standards, sets up culturally and context-appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools and ensures regular data collection.
Develops and maintains contacts with health authorities, academia, technical advisers from other organizations, etc. as necessary.
Trains and supports MHPSS staff from the ICRC and other organizations/partners/teams as per the programme strategy.
Maintains regular communication with the Mental Health & psychological delegate and/or Health Coordinator, providing data and programme updates.
Contributes to develop MHPSS response to victims of violence including sexual violence.
Sensitizes and trains staff in ICRC supported facilities on MHPSS topics, respecting a do no harm approach.
Provide written reports on activities carried out by the unit.
Plan, organize and conduct field visits in coordination with his/her supervisor.
Develop and coordinate ICRC workshop, trainings, and seminars, internally and externally under the supervision of his/her supervisor.
Follow up on administrative and logistic issues.
Translate from Arabic to English and vice-versa within the MHPSS program

Qualifications
• University degree in clinical psychology (minimum 5 years' university study)
• Fluent command of English as well as the main local language.
• License to practice in his/her own country.
• Computer proficiency.
• 3 to 5 years of overall professional experience with minimum 2 years’ experience in MHPSS programmes.
• Experience in managing teams is an asset.
• Red Cross/Red Crescent experience an asset.
• Clinical and/or psychosocial experience (depending on the programme).
• Humanitarian experience an asset.
• Fluent command of English as well as the main local language.
