Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and facilitate implementing trainings in coordination with Health PM.
- Implementing supervisory, supportive and monitoring visits to projects locations in coordination with Health PM.
- Provide support in preparing financial payments and facilitate delivery of logistical support (Evaluation handing over, Pricing, support Logs and any needed duty).
- Collect, record, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from health projects.
- Conduct supervision visits to the Medair supported health facilities including joint monitoring visits with DOH in coordination with the Health PM
- Plan and facilitate training for health facilities staff in close coordination with the Health PM and DOH.
- Refer to the Health PM before making any commitment on behalf of Medair whether verbal or written.
- Maintain a transparent, honest and supportive communication structure with the DoH and Medair team and with communities.
- Support Initial assessment or RNA in potential location.
- Working in collaboration with the Senior MEAL Officer to collate, clean and enter ODK/databases/tables data for Programme activities.
- Implementing beneficiary data protection.
- Assist in accurate and timely reporting of activities for internal and external reports (e.g. monthly, quarterly and final reports) as requested by DCO, HQ and donors.
- Photocopying and scanning of all health documents and letters and managing an electronic filing system.
- Assist in liaison functions e.g. local delivery of documents, follow-up of letters DOH or SARC.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree in medicine, pharmacy or nursing or related
- Clinical degree with Public Health or GI degree is strongly preferred.
- 2 year post-qualification medical professional experience
- INGO Experience
- Experience using ODK is desirable
- Experience in the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of public health and CMAM programmes is desirable
- Knowledge and experience of primary health care principles and management.
- Ability to manage projects and follow up implementations

- Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic, Good written and spoken English
- Strong computer skills of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Team-player with good inter-personal skills

Specific Vacancy Requirements

- The Health Assistant will work for a duration of 5 days per week, as per Syrian Labour law

- This position is based in Daraa governorate, with frequent field visits (subject to staff safety procedures and movement approvals).
