Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Under the management of the CP/Protection Supervisor, in close cooperation with the CP Manager and team members, the CP Case Manager will provide case management for children and counselling interventions in line with key principles: prioritizing the best interests of the child, ensuring child participation, adhering to ethical standards, and maintaining confidentiality.

- Deliver Child Protection Case Management assistance to children in need of comprehensive and holistic support.
- Assess risks, needs, and strengths and develop the appropriate case plan in consultation with the child and/or his caregiver(s)
- Collaborate with cases to plan, implement, monitor, and amend individualized services that promote child strength, advance wellbeing, and help cases in achieving their goals. Case Management plans should be based on meaningful assessments and should have specific, attainable, measurable objectives.
- Work with children, parents/caregivers, and families (when applicable) to implement the actions determined through a case plan to bring expected positive changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability, and development of the child. This includes directly guiding, encouraging, and supporting the child and parents/caregivers while monitoring impacts and outcomes of the case management process.
- Conduct safety planning with cases in collaboration with parents/caregivers, and other agencies to manage/mitigate the identified risks
- Make necessary internal and external referrals, coordinate services, and follow-up of service provision
- Lead or participate in case conferences for complex cases that require multiple actors support.
- Document all case management activities in the appropriate client record promptly and report new case data to the IMC data management team.
- Advocate for the rights, decisions, strengths, and needs of children and families and promote their access to resources, support, and services
- Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of services provided and support.
- Ensure involvement of local authorities, community leaders, and community groups in creating community-based protection mechanisms
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management staff as required; contribute to donor reports and internal IMC reports as required
- Support activities such as awareness raising on child protection relevant topics.
- Training delivery and staff capacity building for new colleagues, or CP case management on-the-job coaching when requested by supervisor.
- Support group PSS sessions in the community, CFS, or family center.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive. Ensure close coordination with the GBV and MHPSS case managers if the child is a survivor or in need of specialized MHPSS support.
- Delivering sessions on child safeguarding topics, including PSEA sessions for staff and beneficiaries.



Qualifications
- University degree (BA or Master's)/preferably in psychology or equivalent degree, e.g., Social Work, or other degree with 2 years of experience relevant to the position.
- Volunteering or employment in Child Protection, MHPSS, Health, or Protection service provision or administration
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to work with teams, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality work.
- Emotional maturity and agility in working in a fast-paced environment.
-Previous NGO experience.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Additional qualifications/Master's Degree in counselling, psychotherapy, brief psychological interventions, or other MHPSS-related qualification (Desirable)
- Previous experience in Child Protection or MHPSS service provision, group work, and /or community-based activities
