Responsibilities
- Consults with relevant Medair advisors/consultants/managers and any other appropriate stakeholders (eg MOH community organisations) in planning, promoting, and conducting programmes to provide and integrate services for People with Mobility Impairments, including physical therapy and rehabilitation.
- Ensure functioning links to outreach activities and possible mobile teams.
- Conduct workshop and in-service training programmes for staff members on activities dealing with physical therapy and rehabilitation that are in line with evidence based practice.
- Use clinical guidelines, team policies and team processes to ensure framework for good standards of practice.
- Develops and maintains a system of adequate recording of meaningful records and statistics.
- Support the Medair team to ensure that the technical decisions and direction of activities are in line with the agreed strategies.
- Represent Medair externally at a technical level with the different players in the physical rehabilitation sector in Syria.
- Traveling to field locations and doing all assessment/distribution tasks as instructed by Health Manager.
- Coordinate with Medair field focal point to prepare distribution plan.
- Collecting all issued HH coupons after the beneficiaries check their Kits and sign and date the HH coupons.
- Prepare all distribution reports as requested by Health PM.
- Matching collected HH coupons with distributed kits on daily basis and directly report to Health PM in case any discrepancies are sported.
- Attend all meetings requested by Health PM.
- Report to Health Manager on any complaints made by beneficiaries during distribution.
- Other tasks that may be requested during distribution.

Qualifications
- Recognised degree or diploma in Physical Therapy or recognised Medical degree and demonstrable expertise in the subject area.
- Experience in delivery of services in support of People with Mobility Impairments.
- Extensive exposure to Assistive technology and Occupational therapy.
- 2 years post qualification relevant professional experience.
- Experience working in humanitarian emergency context is desirable.
- Excellent English (oral and written).
- Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Specific Vacancy Requirements

- This position is based in Damascus governorate, with frequent field visits to project locations (subject to staff safety procedures and movement approvals).
