Responsibilities
1- Prepare / review and analyze project documents (drawings, specifications, and contract terms & conditions) and prepare project summary reports.
2- Prepare /review quantity take-offs and bill of quantities.
3- Prepare preliminary project schedules (using Primavera P6 or MS Project..etc.).
4- Ability to obtain competitive quotations from suppliers & subcontractors, and to monitor labor, material, equipment, and actual costs under process.
5- Analyze and compare quotations technically and financially.
6- Define project scope and identify technical and financial risks (based on project scope and market rates).
7- Prepare comprehensive technical and financial proposals in compliance with client requirements/ terms & conditions of contracts.
8- Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
9- Provide analysis/reports supporting management decision making.
10- Participating in supervising technicians and engineers and following up on assigned tasks.
11- Perform other related duties as required (participate in conferences, meetings, site visit, field trips ...etc.).
12- Other regular duties.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil / Structural Engineering.
A Master /PhD degree is an advantage.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
1- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction industry.
2- Proven Knowledge/experience in working/liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations is an advantage
3- Good command of English.
4- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering related software.
5- Proficiency / Experienced with MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
6- Strong understanding of BOQs and cost estimation techniques.
7- Strong ability to interpret, analyze and synthesize information in a mostly fast-paced environment.
8- Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, coordination and time management skills.
9- Excellent drafting, reporting & documentation skills; reliability, flexibility, commitment, and patience.
10- Ability to work productively under pressure.
11- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
12- Good resource management skills.
