Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Legal Case Management
Oversee and manage legal cases within protection programs, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.


Provide legal guidance and technical support to case workers and protection staff.


Ensure proper case assessment, documentation, filing, and closure in line with legal procedures and protection standards.


Legal Representation Coordination
Coordinate with lawyers, courts, and relevant judicial authorities to facilitate legal processes.


Ensure effective communication and follow-up on court cases and legal documentation.


Support beneficiaries in understanding legal procedures and their rights as appropriate.


Technical Oversight Compliance
Ensure legal services comply with Syrian legal frameworks and organizational policies.


Promote adherence to confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical standards.


Identify legal risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.


Reporting Documentation
Maintain accurate and secure legal case files and documentation.


Contribute to narrative and donor reports on legal aid and protection activities.


Monitor case progress and provide regular updates to management.


Coordination Team Support
Collaborate closely with protection teams for integrated service delivery.


Support coordination with external stakeholders and service providers.


Participate in relevant coordination meetings as required.




Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Law or a related legal field.


Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal aid, protection, or case management.


Strong knowledge of the Syrian legal framework and legal aid procedures.


Proven experience managing and following up on legal cases within protection programs.


Experience coordinating with lawyers, courts, and protection teams.


Proficiency in legal documentation, case filing, and donor reporting.


Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.


High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.


Candidate must be based in Aleppo and available for full-time work.
