Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership Program Oversight

Lead the design, planning, and implementation of protection and gender programs in alignment with organizational strategy and donor requirements.

Ensure gender mainstreaming is integrated across all program activities.

Provide strategic guidance to enhance program impact and sustainability.

Technical Leadership

Ensure compliance with protection principles and standards, including GBV, Child Protection, and PSEA.

Provide technical supervision and guidance to protection teams to ensure quality service delivery.

Develop and update technical tools, guidelines, and SOPs related to protection programming.

Team Management Capacity Building

Supervise and manage protection staff to ensure effective performance and accountability.

Identify capacity gaps and support staff development initiatives.

Promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusivity, and ethical conduct within the team.

Program Management Budget Oversight

Oversee planning, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of protection activities.

Ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with donor regulations.

Monitor program risks and implement mitigation measures as needed.

Coordination Representation

Coordinate with local authorities, protection clusters, and humanitarian partners.

Represent the organization in relevant coordination forums and meetings.

Strengthen partnerships to enhance program effectiveness and referral mechanisms.

Reporting Compliance

Ensure timely and high-quality donor reporting.

Maintain compliance with protection standards, safeguarding policies, and organizational procedures.

Promote accountability and ensure responsiveness to feedback and complaints.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, Gender Studies, or a related field (Master degree preferred).


Minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and gender programming, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.


Proven experience in managing and supervising protection teams.


Strong knowledge of protection principles, including GBV, Child Protection, PSEA, and gender mainstreaming.


Demonstrated experience in planning, budgeting, implementing, and monitoring protection programs.


Excellent coordination skills with local authorities, clusters, and humanitarian partners.


Experience in donor reporting and ensuring compliance with protection standards.


Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.


Fluency in Arabic; good working knowledge of English is an advantage.


Candidate must be based in Aleppo and available for full-time work.
