Responsibilities
1. Deliver virtual counselling sessions to Syrians in Sweden or other EU countries, providing accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information on the context situation including the economic one, available livelihood opportunities, Health, Protection, access to employment and entrepreneurship support and reintegration-related concerns.

2. Support individuals in identifying pathways to self-reliance, including available public and private support schemes, financial inclusion services, and small business development programs.

3. Support informed decision-making through accurate, up-to-date, and context-specific information

4. Develop and share tailored guidance materials and tools (factsheets, market briefs, opportunity directories) relevant to Syrians' economic needs and aspirations.

5. Ensure continuity of care and linkage to services upon arrival in Syria where feasible.

6. Conduct individual and/or family virtual counselling sessions using secure online platforms (e.g. phone, encrypted messaging, video calls where appropriate).

7. Ensure accurate and confidential case tracking and reporting using IOM’s case management tools and contribute to regular updates, progress reports, and thematic analyses.

8. Coordinate with relevant actors including local authorities, employment agencies, civil society organizations, and international partners to strengthen referral pathways and partnerships.

9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications
Education:

• University degree in social studies, political science, international relations, economic, or any relevant domain.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience of working with clients or customers to solve problems.
• Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of actors, including people of culturally diverse backgrounds, government and authorities, humanitarian actors (UN agencies and NGOs).
• Experience working in development or humanitarian programming (specifically in International or National NGO/UN) is an asset
• Computer literacy with specific proficiency in Microsoft applications.
