Responsibilities
Develops Security rules and relevant security, safety and crisis management protocols and ensures periodic reviews and compliance.
Provides safety support to all structures and sub-structures within an area of responsibility (AoR).
Ensures vehicles are equipped with First Aid kit and staff are equipped with communication equipment and know how to use them.
Prepares written briefing on safety for all new delegates/staff/visitors in the area of responsibility.
Ensures contingency and evacuation plans, are in place and up to date and that staff are trained on how to behave in case of emergency.
Provides regular and timely analysis related to the security, humanitarian, socio-economic, cultural and political environment, with focus on supporting Sub-structures in Homs, Tartus, Hassakeh, Deir Ezzor and contributes to written reporting.
Contributes to and supports the delegation’s assessment of security and safety risks and identifies possible prevention measures.
At the Area of Responsibility, liaises with SARC and Participating National Societies (PNSs) and supports the coordination with international and non-governmental organizations on security related topics.
Supports the Safety Security Risk Management (SSRM) process and updates monitoring tools for security-related files and ensures all incidents are reported timely, in addition to records all updated security related files and ensures periodic reviews and compliance.
Support and coaches all GFOs systematically assuring constant capacity building of the security and field department in the AoRs. Acts as a blue line for the Generalist Field Officers (GFOs) in the AoRs.
Co-manages field trip procedures and coordination in light of the security situation and with due liaison with SARC where necessary.
Participates in and support the mapping of the stakeholders’ network of the sub-structures, identifies, and proposes contacts with potential interlocutors related to the security file

Qualifications
University degree preferably in (Social studies, Economics, law, computer science)
Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar field of activity.
Security/Safety Management background preferred, experience in crisis management a strong asset.
Fluent level of English.
Computer literacy.
